SoftConcept released SeeNet 1.3 with additional features and enhanced performance. With upgraded TopologyView capabilities, SeeNet 1.3 is truly scalable, capable of supporting small office environment to a large enterprise IT infrastructure. SeeNet 1.3 includes the following new features and enhancements.
|
- Enhanced TopologyView: TopologyView has a major facelift in version 1.3. SeeNet automatically draws "Visio"-like diagram depicting connections between monitored nodes. These nodes can be assigned to different regions, and users can group the nodes within the same region. "Display-only" nodes such as IP Phones, Firewalls, IDS, etc. are available to depict the real network topology.
- Single SeeNet Login Screen: Previous versions pf SeeNet required users to login to the main console and management console separately. In version 1.3, management console is accessed through the main page for privileged users.
- Enhanced Administration Page: Version 1.3 has significant graphical and navigation changes in the administration module. The new administration module is more user friendly and contents are organized more efficiently.
- Import/Export: Users can enable data export methodology - UDP binary or NetFlow Detailed Call Records - and import data into SeeNet through GUI.
- Router Config Tracking: Privileged users can configure SeeNet to poll router configurations (running and start up) and compare the results.
- Archive/Aggregation Configuration: Users have flexibility to enable or disable archive features. This will greatly reduce hard drive requirement for large data collection sites.
- Query by ports and IPs: Users can specify multiple IPs and application port numbers to analyze traffic usage.
- ConnectionView: From LocalView main window, users can view connections between monitored nodes (similar to TopologyView)
