SoftConcept is certified as Small Disadvantaged Business 8(a) since 2001. The 8(a) Program has been enhanced to better help socially and economically disadvantaged entrepreneurs to gain access to new economic opportunities. The U.S. Small Business Administration has helped thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs gain a foothold in obtaining federal contracts.

The overall program goal, is to graduate companies that will thrive in a competitive business environment. To achieve this, SBA district offices monitor and measure the progress of participants through annual reviews, business planning and systematic evaluations. Participants also receive specialized business training, counseling, marketing assistance and high-level executive development. Participants may also receive help accessing surplus government property and supplies, SBA-guaranteed loans, and surety bond assistance.

SoftConcept's services can now be accessed via the 8(a) Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services (STARS) GWAC. STARS is a small business set-aside contract vehicle for technology services and solutions.
