WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- The Reports Officer (RO) primarily works with raw information reporting received from DHS components (CBP, CIS, ICE, TSA) and State and Local entities. The RO is required to identify reportable intelligence based on established DHS thresholds, conduct additional research, and produce accurate, concise and lucid Homeland Intelligence Reports (HIRs) for dissemination to the Intelligence Community (IC). The RO is responsible for interacting with, and acting as a mediator between, law enforcement personnel and the IC, for intelligence reporting related to Homeland Security issues. Additional duties may include reviewing finished intelligence reports for content and analysis; editing these reports and working with analysts to improve analytic rigor and written reporting. Opportunities to support DHS Reporting Branch policy and procedure development.
Work Hours:
- Monday through Friday, regular hours can vary between 6am to 6pm. This is not a shift position.
